How to properly set up GUI Miner for work

Before starting mining, you should first update the drivers to the latest versions of Nvidia video cards with CUDA technology support. In addition, you should update the drivers for AMD video accelerators, and install the Stream SDK package or drivers with OpenCL support. After that, you need to follow the instructions below:

  1. Run the program by double-clicking on the application icon in the folder where you unpacked the archive.

  4. Set the mining speed by selecting the processor binding indicator. To use several devices at the same time, you can immediately launch several GUI Miner windows and select the appropriate equipment in each.
  5. To save the specified settings and further use, click on the “File” menu and select “Save settings”. After that, you need to click on the “Start” button. After this, cryptocurrency mining will start.

Using the GUI Miner program, you can launch many mining processes, with the help of which you can get a significant profit. Statistics are displayed in one window for all users.

How to set up a mining pool to work with GUI Miner

Before you start mining cryptocurrency using the GUI Miner tool, you first need to correctly set up a mining pool. The latter refers to a group of miners combining their resources to mine digital currency. If you become part of a mining pool, you can significantly increase your chances of making a profit, since the combined hashrate will be much higher than that of just one user.

To set up a pool, click on the “Server” menu in the mining program and click on the “Create” button. In the “New Server” dialog box that opens, you need to enter the pool URL and port number. This data can be found on the pool website. If the pool requests authentication, you need to enter your login and password.

The most common problems with GUI Miner and solutions

If you encounter any difficulties while using the program, they can be solved in the following ways:

  • I can’t start GUI Miner. First, you should check whether your PC meets the system requirements of the program. If everything is in order, you should try running GUI Miner as an administrator.
  • The program does not connect to the mining pool. Double-check whether the URL and port number for the pool are specified correctly. If there are no typos, you should check your Internet connection.
  • Low hashrate. Check the correct program settings and hardware operation.

In general, if the GUI Miner is correctly configured, there are no difficulties with the program. You need to ensure that the data is entered correctly and also download the tool from a trusted source.
