The NVTweak program is designed specifically to unlock additional features, parameters, and options for NVIDIA video card drivers for the user. The most important of these include overclocking capabilities, AGP and hardware settings, fan control, temperature settings, debugging, dual viewing, OpenGL 2.0 support, video mixing rendering, 3D viewer types (this option is available for 3D Stereo drivers), and many other parameters.

The presented program works great with GeForce/Quadro series video cards, as well as ForceWare 55.xx – 7x.xx drivers. NVTweak should be used by experienced users who know how to properly configure NVIDIA video cards.

What is the NVTweak program created for?

The main function of the NVTweak program is to activate by default the options and capabilities that are hidden in the classic NVIDIA driver panel. In practice, this utility is a clear and accessible graphical interface created to work with the well-known CoolBits registry key. After downloading and running the NVTweak program, you can configure various parameters:

  • video card overclocking;
  • AGP bus operation;
  • control the video card fan;
  • the program will show the temperature of the graphics processor;
  • the graphical interface displays diagnostic information of the driver, including events of video card protection (“auto brake”);
  • selection of the video output handler;
  • refresh rate assignments will be displayed for each video mode;
  • additional settings for the PureVideo decoder.

Please note that the correct operation of the options that were unlocked by the NVTweak program is not guaranteed for every PC. Some options may be available only in beta versions of drivers or if you have a Quadro card.

System requirements for installing NVTweak

Before downloading the presented program to your computer, you need to make sure that the equipment complies with NVTweak:

  • NVIDIA driver version 55.XX – 95.XX for 1051, 256.XX and higher for the latest release.
